The inception of the 10 New Bali photo book came as an inspiration from H.E. Ngurah Swajaya, the Ambassador of the
Republic of Indonesia to Singapore. It was back in 2016 when the Team; consisting of photographers and contributors
from Indonesia, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines decided to embark on the project of compiling images
The Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia Message of “Magnificent Bromo”. The photo book was presented to H.E. Ngurah Swajaya who was very impressed and happy to
witness the beauty of Mount Bromo presented through the lens of our group of photographers.

The Ambassador inspired us and made his proposition to the Team to photograph and compile a photo book of the 10
The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore Message new destinations in Indonesia which we accepted and embarked on the production of this photo book. He mentioned
that this would be inline with President Joko Widodo’s “10 New Balis” growth strategy which was intended to ride on the
economic success and effects of tourism that Bali has enjoyed all these years.
The motion has been set and under the “10 New Bali” blueprint, the Indonesian government has earmarked the 10
destinations for development, which incidentally was highlighted by Indonesia’s Tourism Minister Arief Yahya who spoke
Morotai 02 at the Singapore-Indonesia Investment Forum 2017.
Wakatobi 24 Despite the challenges and difficulties that were presented before us, the team beat all odds and was determined to
acomplish the task. Our photo book “10 New Bali” was finally completed in August 2018.

We sincerely hope our efforts would be able to contribute in one way or another to promote Indonesia tourism to the
Mandalika Lombok 78 world.
