Danau Kaolin The island is a well known producer of tin due to its
geographical position as part of Malacca Tin Source
chain from Malaysia, Bangka and Belitung. However,
the heydays of tin mining are now in the past. Belitung
is currently preparing for a transformation to gradually
shift the province’s economic reliance on tin.
